Junior Financial Analyst

About the Role

DigitalScript is seeking a motivated Junior Financial Analyst to join our finance team at the Berlin office. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Analyze financial data to recognize trends and provide meaningful insights supporting business decisions.
• Support activities related to budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning.
• Build financial models and conduct variance and profitability analyses.
• Track critical financial performance indicators, identifying potential risks and growth opportunities.
• Participate in cost and revenue analyses and assess operational performance.
• Ensure the accurate reconciliation of financial records and reports.
• Perform market, competitor, and industry research to inform financial planning.
• Collaborate with accounting, operations, and business units to gather and verify financial data.
• Assist with audit processes and maintain compliance with internal financial policies.
• Manage financial databases, spreadsheets, and reporting documentation diligently.
• Stay updated on evolving financial regulations, accounting standards, and market trends.

Candidate Requirements

• Fundamental understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts, and analytical techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced features like PivotTables, formulas, charts, and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent numerical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic experience or knowledge in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis is beneficial.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Preferred educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines. Progress toward professional certifications like CFA Level I, ACCA, or CPA is advantageous.
