IT Help Desk Support Specialist

Role Overview

MedCare Pediatric Group is searching for an IT Help Desk Support Specialist to deliver hands-on onsite IT assistance, maintain dependable technology operations, and ensure an excellent technological experience for employees.

Primary Responsibilities

• Act as the frontline support contact for IT issues, responding promptly to help desk tickets, troubleshooting diverse hardware and software challenges, and providing status updates.
• Install, set up, and configure computers, software applications, and peripherals.
• Support the onboarding of new employees by preparing necessary IT access, including computers, Microsoft 365 accounts with MFA, EMR system access, phones, Wi-Fi connectivity, and building entry permissions.
• Manage offboarding activities, such as account deactivation, asset retrieval, and revoking system access while keeping detailed records of onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory and lifecycle tracking for IT assets such as computers, mobile devices, printers, coordinating replacements, data sanitization, and responsible electronic recycling.
• Support physical security technology infrastructure including CCTV cameras, door access controls and fobs, alarm systems, and visitor access controls, ensuring accurate access permissions and coordinating repairs or vendor engagement.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience providing help desk, desktop, or technical support.
• Proficient in troubleshooting Windows-based systems and business applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 environments, user account management, and basic networking concepts.
• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Able to handle and prioritize multiple simultaneous support requests efficiently.

Preferred qualifications: An associate degree in Information Technology or a related discipline. Prior experience in healthcare IT, including EMR systems, endpoint device management, and physical security technologies. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare technology security standards is a plus.
