Opportunity Overview
Join Kaipara District Council in Mangawhai or Dargaville as an Infrastructure Project Coordinator in a permanent full-time position, with options to work from home. This role focuses on supporting infrastructure projects that impact the district's future by managing project coordination and administrative tasks crucial for successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate administrative tasks to enable smooth completion of infrastructure projects.
- Handle financial project processes such as purchase orders, invoice management, budget monitoring, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Maintain and keep up-to-date project documents, contracts, necessary approvals, records, and critical project registers.
- Support reporting efforts, assist with procurement processes, track risks and issues, and manage contract administration.
- Cultivate effective relationships with Project Managers and various stakeholders to facilitate continuous project progress.
Candidate Profile
The role is suited for an organized professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks. Proactivity, teamwork, and a commitment to high-quality outcomes are essential traits.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 1 to 2 years' experience in project coordination and administrative support.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and competence with other MS Office programs.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Strong numerical aptitude and an understanding of budgeting principles.
- Foundation-level project management certification is preferred.
