Role Purpose

As a Houseperson, you will be an important support member of the housekeeping team. The job involves staying active, helping room attendants and public area attendants, responding quickly to guest needs, and keeping the floor stocked and running smoothly. Your support with deliveries, linen movement, and general assistance helps create a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Act quickly on guest requests, such as delivering extra amenities, beds, cots, blankets, and pillows, or collecting items from guest rooms when required.
• Work closely with housekeeping colleagues so all tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Collect soiled linen from guest rooms and take it to the correct laundry or storage area.
• Support the cleaning of guest rooms and public spaces when needed.
• Use cleaning chemicals and materials carefully, protect guest privacy and security, and escalate maintenance concerns without delay.
• Offer friendly service to guests by answering questions, handling concerns, and sharing accurate information about the property’s facilities and services.

Skills and Experience

• A friendly, approachable communication style that makes both guests and colleagues feel comfortable.
• Strong attention to detail, good time management, and pride in completing work to a high standard.
• Comfort with physical tasks, including movement around the property via internal and external stairs, open walkways, and handling heavy trollies and equipment.
• Enjoyment of teamwork and collaboration with people from different backgrounds.
