Role summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor will report to the Executive Housekeeper and help ensure that rooms and housekeeping operations meet high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service. The role involves supporting the room attendants, coordinating with other hotel departments, and handling guest-related issues when needed.

What you will do

• Lead and assist room attendants on a daily basis while coordinating with other hotel departments on requests and queries.
• Step in to help with room coordination duties whenever required.
• Provide on-the-job training so rooms are serviced efficiently and to the required quality standard.
• Manage staff performance in line with company policies and procedures.
• Inspect rooms before release and ensure that any defects are recorded and reported.
• Respond to guest questions and complaints, escalating to the Executive Housekeeper when appropriate.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate should bring a strong hospitality mindset, be comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environment, and be able to manage several tasks at once. A positive attitude, initiative, and a strong focus on service quality are essential.

Applicants must be ready to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends, early mornings, and late nights. The role also requires fluency in English, excellent grooming, clear communication, and the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Experience in a busy 4-star or 5-star hotel is preferred, along with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding service and a desire to grow within hospitality.
