Role Overview
The Housekeeping Associate responsible for Public Areas will work full-time on-site at Hotel Centre Point, Nagpur. This position entails preserving the cleanliness and hygiene of all guest-accessible spaces such as lobbies, corridors, restrooms, banquet pre-function rooms, and restaurant public areas. Daily duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing surfaces, restocking essential supplies, managing basic laundry tasks related to linens in common areas, and ensuring proper use and storage of cleaning tools. The associate must promptly address guest requests, report any maintenance problems, follow health and sanitation protocols, and assist room attendants and other housekeeping staff as required. Compliance with hotel policies, participation in training programs, and teamwork are crucial to sustaining a welcoming environment for visitors.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail to uphold cleanliness standards in public spaces.
- Proficiency in laundry operations concerning public area linens and fundamental fabric care.
- Effective communication and customer service skills for polite guest interaction and smooth coordination with team members.
- Eagerness to engage in trainings, learn hotel standard operating procedures, safety regulations, and innovative housekeeping methods.
- Prior experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or maintenance is advantageous.
- Capability to handle physically demanding work, including prolonged standing and flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning agents, equipment handling, and safety practices is a plus.
- Minimum of high school education or its equivalent preferred.
