What the job involves

The main purpose of the role is to clean all hotel areas thoroughly and consistently, helping to create a positive guest experience through excellent housekeeping standards.

• Welcome guests courteously and interact with them in a polite, professional manner.
• Clean guest bedrooms and all other hotel spaces in line with standard operating procedures.
• Carry out scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties.
• Use cleaning products and equipment correctly and safely.
• Keep track of cleaning supplies and inform the manager when stock needs replenishing.
• Store laundry properly and complete any required records or paperwork.
• Follow stock-control processes and help keep stock secure at all times.
• Report safety concerns, security problems, accidents, incidents, and maintenance matters to the duty manager.
• Complete induction, role-related, and refresher training, while supporting ongoing service improvements.

Pay and benefits

The role pays £12.81 per hour. Benefits include a complimentary meal and drink while working, a 20% discount on food, drinks, and hotel stays for the employee and up to three guests when off duty, and an extra £1 per hour for hours worked between midnight and 5:59am. Eligible employees may also receive a bonus of up to 19% of pay, access to guaranteed-hours or variable-hours contracts, paid holiday, free shares after a qualifying period, and a loyalty reward scheme.
