Hire Controller

About the Role

Speedy Hire, a leading UK provider of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant, and support services, is seeking a Hire Controller to join their team in Poole. This full-time, depot-based position operates Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 42 hours weekly. The Hire Controller plays a pivotal role in operations at the frontline of sales and customer service, managing the entire hire process from order placement to delivery and collection. Coordination with all depot departments ensures customer needs are consistently met and satisfaction is maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Primarily desk-based, the position requires regular collaboration with stock teams, drivers, and engineers to minimize delays and ensure equipment availability for customers.

Candidate Requirements

• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
• A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Possession of a valid driving license.
• Previous experience in the hire industry or related sales/operational roles.
