Role summary

This is a strong opportunity for a planning specialist to join a busy team focused on southern projects.

Key responsibilities

• Help drive the delivery of several planning schemes across the Southern region.
• Take ownership of planning applications from initial submission through to completion.
• Work closely with internal departments, outside consultants and local authority contacts.
• Offer planning guidance that supports overall project progress and delivery.
• Track planning policy changes and ensure schemes remain compliant.
• Assist with programme scheduling and wider project coordination.

Experience and skills needed

• Prior experience in a planning position, preferably with a contractor, developer or consultancy.
• A solid grasp of UK planning law and the associated processes.
• Capability to juggle several projects while managing priorities effectively.
• Confident communication and proven stakeholder management skills.
• A self-starting approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
