About the Role

Bridgepoint Maintenance is seeking skilled Handyworkers to address a variety of everyday maintenance tasks in residential properties. Each service call presents a unique challenge ranging from replacing damaged locks and repairing leaks to installing shelving and conducting property inspections before other trades arrive. Our Handyworkers ensure homes remain safe, functional, and welcoming for occupants.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting general residential maintenance and repair tasks
• Performing property inspections and preventative maintenance
• Replacing HVAC filters and installing/removing lockboxes
• Repairing doors, locks, cabinets, shelving, blinds, and hardware components
• Fixing toilets, faucets, light fixtures, smoke detectors, and similar household systems
• Completing minor drywall repairs including caulking, patching, and touch-ups
• Assembling and installing furniture as needed
• Documenting work with clear before-and-after photos
• Submitting digital inspection reports and updating work orders
• Identifying additional maintenance needs that require specialist trades
• Traveling independently between appointments using your own vehicle

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of two years' experience in handyman, renovation, construction, property maintenance, or related fields
• Ability to work autonomously handling typical residential maintenance jobs
• Strong troubleshooting aptitude and keen attention to detail
• Professional communication skills with customers and internal teams
• Awareness of when to escalate work to licensed professionals
• Possession of a reliable vehicle, appropriate toolbox, and smartphone with GPS and app capabilities
• Basic English language proficiency and dependable attendance
• Organizational skills to manage varied service calls efficiently

Preferred Experience

• Residential property upkeep and handyman services
• Renovation and repair projects including inspections and lockbox installations
• Preventative maintenance in occupied and vacant homes
