Role Overview

This pivotal role as Group Financial Controller involves full accountability for financial control, consolidation, reporting, and compliance within a complex multinational organization. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will manage consolidated group reporting across roughly 30 entities, closely collaborating with regional finance teams and executive leadership to ensure financial accuracy, integrity, and enhanced governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly group consolidation and financial reporting processes spanning multiple geographic regions.
  • Prepare and present financial statements and performance reports for the Board and shareholders.
  • Review and critically assess monthly close activities with global finance teams.
  • Prepare IFRS-compliant consolidation adjustments and coordinate the publication of financial statements.
  • Maintain awareness and compliance with evolving accounting standards, policies, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the annual budget formulation and oversee year-end audits alongside statutory reporting activities.
  • Support group finance initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, system integrations, and financial systems enhancements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members within the group financial reporting function.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified CA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting certification.
  • Six to ten years of progressive finance experience, notably in group consolidation financial management.
  • In-depth technical expertise in IFRS and consolidation accounting principles.
  • Proven track record managing complex monthly and annual financial closing and reporting cycles.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills at senior levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong aptitude with financial systems.
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical capabilities and a continuous improvement focus.
  • Experience from a Big Four accounting firm is advantageous.
