Global AFR Pricing Manager

Job Overview

The Global AFR Pricing Manager role involves detailed data analysis on worldwide AFR bids, quantifying customer pricing impact based on inputs from country and regional levels. This position supports senior management in making informed decisions by assessing financial risks and exposures for multimillion-Euro AFR Requests for Quotations (RFQs). The role includes preparing final bid submissions accurately and competitively, supporting smart pricing initiatives, and driving continuous improvements in pricing quality in collaboration with regional and country teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess acceptance of non-standard terms and conditions related to RFQs, evaluating exposure risks to the company.
• Understand AFR pricing and operational frameworks to perform validation checks and present effective pricing proposals.
• Monitor pricing trends and identify influential market drivers.
• Develop pricing strategies for different countries and regions.
• Engage with customers directly during RFQ processes through physical or virtual meetings.
• Apply knowledge of international trade regulations, including Incoterms®, CDZ, and local laws to improve pricing strategies.
• Lead and coordinate tasks and teams, ensuring adherence to timelines.
• Analyze complex, large datasets effectively despite inconsistencies or noise.
• Communicate clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Make prompt and informed decisions, exhibiting strong responsiveness.
• Identify operational and strategic challenges within air freight pricing and propose effective solutions working with subject matter experts.
• Analyze business data and prepare relevant reports for senior management discussions.
• Provide guidance and support to global AFR pricing specialists as needed.
• Ensure pricing competitiveness using benchmarking tools.
• Prepare and translate pricing templates, handling inquiries and maintaining data quality and compliance.
• Participate actively in business review meetings and lead final customer price negotiations.

Qualifications and Experience

• More than six years of relevant experience, preferably in airfreight or forwarding data analytics.
• Experience in supervisory or team lead capacities is desirable.
• Strong understanding of AFR products and operational processes.
• Excellent command of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Fluent in written and spoken English for effective communication across global teams and customers.
