Geographic Information Systems Analyst

Job Overview

We are looking for a driven and competent Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst to become part of our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will take responsibility for generating, analyzing, and managing spatial data and maps, while supporting GIS-related tasks by utilizing contemporary geospatial tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed, quality maps and spatial visualizations for various applications.
• Interpret geospatial data to develop valuable insights aiding in strategic decision-making.
• Maintain and update GIS datasets and geodatabases to ensure current and reliable information.
• Utilize GIS software for spatial analysis, geoprocessing activities, and converting data between formats.
• Work closely with internal teams to fulfill GIS needs across multiple projects.
• Ensure geospatial data is accurate, consistent, and of high quality throughout all workflows.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Surveying Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Demonstrated expertise with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or equivalent platforms.
• Proficient in producing, analyzing, and interpreting various maps and spatial datasets.
• Solid comprehension of geospatial principles, coordinate reference systems, and data architectures.
• Detail-oriented with strong teamwork capabilities to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
