NS Modular provides end-to-end industrial project support, covering everything from early concept and procurement through fabrication, assembly, and construction. Based in Alberta and part of the Northern Strands Group of Companies, NS Modular is expanding and seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented General Labourer to help keep daily operations running smoothly. The broader group includes Northern Strands, Fortis Mining, Engineering, & Manufacturing, Certified Sales & Rentals, and NS Modular, with services spanning rigging and lifting products, fall protection, suspended access, agri-business field services, electrical services, safety training, mining site services, fabrication, rentals, repairs, testing and recertification, assembly, and storage and preservation. This wide range of work creates a dynamic environment with opportunities to collaborate across multiple teams and divisions.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out hands-on labour tasks across industrial job sites
- Support site preparation and post-job cleanup
- Move, manage, and organize materials and tools
- Assist with equipment upkeep and general site cleanliness
- Work with teammates to ensure sites are ready for daily operations
- Use tools as needed for a variety of assigned tasks
- Work safely in confined spaces when required
- Accurately complete health, safety, and maintenance records on time
What You Need
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to perform in physically demanding and challenging conditions
- Strong commitment to safe work practices and following procedures
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and follow instructions carefully
- Sound judgment and discretion when making decisions
- Strong time-management skills
- A positive, professional attitude and consistent professionalism
- Safety training or certificates are an advantage, but not mandatory
- Valid safety credentials such as WHMIS, forklift, or fall protection are considered assets
- Equivalent education, training, and experience that provide the needed capabilities will also be considered
