One of its restaurant brands, The Sandbox Beach Club, is a premium beach resort with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and is positioned as Ghana’s first exclusive beach club destination, offering a distinctive entertainment and lifestyle experience.

Role Overview

The company is seeking a trained and experienced Lifeguard to protect swimmers and guests using the water facilities. In this role, you will observe aquatic areas, respond to emergencies, and take the necessary action to keep people safe.

Key Responsibilities

• Watch over swimming areas closely and ensure all safety rules are followed.
• Alert swimmers when unsafe or improper behavior is observed.
• Provide first aid when injuries occur, rescue swimmers in danger, and perform CPR when required.
• Assess water and facility conditions for hazards and activate emergency procedures when needed.
• Inspect pool areas, equipment, and water quality each day to confirm everything is safe and ready for use.
• Keep the pool, surrounding facilities, and equipment clean, including the application of pool chemicals.
• Carry out chlorine residual tests and maintain accurate records of tests and incidents.
• Support swimming lessons or assist instructors whenever necessary.
• Manage scheduling conflicts so the facility remains safe when multiple activities need access to the pool.

Requirements

• Strong swimming ability and confidence in different water conditions.
• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 6 months of relevant experience in a similar lifeguard role.
• Valid certification from a recognized lifeguard training institution.
• Ability to assess water conditions and identify possible risks or hazards.
• Good judgment to evaluate participants’ changing abilities and safety concerns during aquatic activities.
• Knowledge of on-site emergency care and CPR.

Compensation and Benefits

The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary of GHS 1,500 to GHS 2,000, along with additional benefits.
