Job Overview
BabyEats is looking to hire a meticulous and flexible Accountant/Administrative Manager, skilled at managing precise financial records and administrative responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting with minimal supervision.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct various accounting functions such as journal entries, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and intercompany transactions.
- Ensure adherence to legal regulations including statutory filings and tax compliance.
- Carry out weekly/monthly bank statement and payment gateway reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management accounts, and annual budgets.
- Work collaboratively with external auditors and tax officials when necessary.
- Design and enforce effective financial controls and processes to ensure data accuracy.
- Generate and interpret comprehensive financial reports including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flows to assist management’s critical decisions.
- Promptly follow up on outstanding balances with customers, clients, and vendors.
- Manage quarterly VAT submissions via the UAE Federal Tax Authority portal.
- Oversee purchasing operations, including supplier sourcing, request for quotations, and order placement.
- Keep accurate inventory records, monitor stock, and conduct audits regularly.
- Handle all sales transactions across company verticals, ensuring coordination between sales and customer service teams to reconcile and resolve sales discrepancies.
- Organize essential administrative documents such as invoices, receipts, and contracts.
- Utilize accounting software, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office for efficient task execution.
- Communicate effectively in both spoken and written forms to support teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
- Respond to customer inquiries and assist across all company departments.
- Serve as the company Public Relations Officer (PRO) when required.
Reporting
This position reports directly to the Financial Controller.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in taxation, accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of six years’ relevant accounting experience within the UAE.
- Mandatory experience in the Food & Beverage or Catering sectors.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards.
- Experience specific to restaurants and catering businesses is highly advantageous.
- Advanced to intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Competency with accounting platforms along with Google Docs and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent proficiency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are considered a plus.
