Full-Time Delivery Driver

Reporting to the Team Lead - Home Delivery, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely deliveries from various store locations to our customers' homes and businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily maintenance checks on your delivery vehicle and accurately record vehicle mileage and maintenance activities.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper presentation of the delivery vehicle at all times; promptly report any safety or equipment issues.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation compliant with company and regulatory standards.
• Load and verify orders for accuracy; ensure they are securely and stably arranged for transport.
• Keep regular communication with the dispatch team to coordinate deliveries effectively.
• Comply with cash handling procedures as required.
• Separate dirty and clean totes properly and communicate with the company about dirty totes.
• Receive clean plastic bags from customers and return them to the store's recycling program.
• Attend quarterly driver meetings and complete necessary stock transfer forms and cleaning logs.
• Plan and organize delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled delivery times.
• Retrieve shopping carts ('buggies') as directed and complete related forms.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Maintain a clean driving record/driver’s abstract.
• Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures, specifically Thrifty Foods where applicable.
• Strong judgment, decision-making skills, and commitment to teamwork and customer satisfaction.
