Full-Time Cleaner – Melbourne CBD

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated full-time cleaner to maintain the hygiene and cleanliness standards at commercial premises located in Melbourne’s Central Business District. This role involves working standard weekday hours from 9 AM to 5 PM under the guidance of a Site Supervisor. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, able to operate independently, and strictly comply with company policies and safety guidelines.

Key Duties

• Carry out routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing various surfaces.
• Ensure restrooms are kept clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Regularly empty trash bins and handle waste removal correctly.
• Maintain the cleanliness of communal spaces including hallways, lobbies, and kitchen areas.
• Follow the prescribed daily cleaning plan provided by the Site Supervisor.
• Promptly notify supervisors of any maintenance problems or safety concerns encountered.
• Properly use and store all cleaning equipment and materials, adhering to safety standards.
• Observe all health and safety protocols, especially when handling cleaning chemicals.
• Attend toolbox meetings and training sessions as required to stay updated on procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
• Capability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness quality.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions carefully.
• Physical fitness adequate for manual cleaning activities.
• Able to commit to full-time working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
