About the Role
The opportunity is based at Roseneath Lifecare in Carterton, a facility featuring 45 care beds and a 15-unit village. The position is permanent full-time, requiring a commitment of 32 hours or more weekly, including availability for AM, PM, night, and weekend shifts. The caregiver role focuses on delivering exceptional support and compassionate care to residents within a warm and friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care that enhances the wellbeing and comfort of residents.
- Work across varied shifts including mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated caregiving experience, preferably within aged care settings, with at least six months in a similar role.
- Hold at minimum an NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or an equivalent qualification from New Zealand or abroad, such as a Bachelor or Diploma in Nursing.
- Desirable experience working with dementia patients.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Compassionate, positive, and customer-service oriented attitude.
- Committed to continuous improvement and fully aware of health and safety protocols.
