Role Overview

This role is for an independent freelance developer who will utilize the APIStreamer platform to provide customized software development solutions to clients. This position is project-based and does not constitute employment with APIStreamer.

Freelance developers select projects they want to work on, negotiate pricing and deadlines independently, set their own schedules, and may serve other clients or use other platforms. Tasks may include developing backend services, API integration, feature creation, bug resolution, performance optimization, and producing technical documentation.

Responsibilities include assessing client requirements, proposing suitable scope and timelines, delivering results as agreed, maintaining direct communication with clients, and adhering to APIStreamer’s standards for security, privacy, ownership, and marketplace rules. Developers operate as independent contractors using their own equipment, with no guaranteed assignments, salaries, benefits, or minimum hours. This position is ideal for those seeking additional income.

Qualifications

• Strong software development and programming skills with experience delivering production-grade applications.
• Practical experience in backend web development, including API usage, database management, and server-side frameworks.
• Solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles and their application to real projects.
• Familiarity with modern development tools such as version control systems, continuous integration/delivery, and secure coding conventions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in an on-site team and communicate complex technical subjects clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
