Founder Associate

Role Summary

This position bridges the gap between strategic decisions and tangible execution across two entities: a premium primary school and a children's financial literacy initiative in Lagos. The successful candidate will report directly to the founder and oversee product operations and delivery to ensure priorities transform into real, shipped outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate high-level strategic goals into detailed product requirements for development teams.
• Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, designers, illustrators, editors, curriculum writers, and external vendors.
• Conduct rigorous testing on deliverables before release to parents, students, or customers.
• Streamline and automate manual processes such as admissions, fee management, online enrollment, and parent communications.
• Implement a unified project management system serving both organizations and maintain a weekly dashboard that leadership uses for decision-making.

Success Metrics (to be evaluated at 90 days)

• Launch of one major digital product.
• Implementation of three automations actively used daily.
• Adoption of a single project management platform across both organizations.
• Establishment of a weekly executive dashboard.
• Reduction of founder's administrative workload by at least 40%.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in product or technical project management with a portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficient in AI and automation tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Zapier or Make, and Airtable, with tangible examples of usage.
• Exceptional written communication skills that enable clear instruction without need for follow-up.
• A natural curiosity about eliminating manual processes and improving efficiency.
• Exposure to EdTech platforms like LMS, student information systems, and assessment tools is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with productivity and design tools including Notion, ClickUp, Figma, and Webflow is beneficial.

Fit Considerations

This position is not suited for those who prefer straightforward, singular tasks or need a large team for support. It requires the confidence to challenge ideas and directly advise the founder.

Ideal candidates are those who have informally managed multiple projects and desire formal ownership with direct access to key decision-makers.
