About the Company
District 6 is a premium German microbrewery and kitchen located in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, known for its high-quality food and beverage offerings.
Role Overview
The position is for an experienced Food and Beverage Controller responsible for managing cost controls, inventory, and operational reporting to ensure efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and regulate food and beverage costs to maintain budget compliance.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly audits of inventory to ensure accuracy.
- Verify goods received notes, purchase orders, and vendor invoices for correctness.
- Analyze reports detailing food costs, beverage costs, and variances to identify improvement areas.
- Manage recipe costing processes and assess menu profitability.
- Ensure proper handling and movement of stock with stringent inventory controls.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen, bar, stores, purchasing, and accounting departments.
- Implement measures to minimize wastage and prevent stock losses.
- Prepare management information system (MIS) and other reports for leadership review.
- Maintain compliance with company standard operating procedures and internal auditing standards.
Essential Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience as an F&B Controller within a hotel, premium restaurant, microbrewery, or related hospitality sector.
- Deep understanding of inventory management principles, costing techniques, and stock control methods.
- Hands-on experience with point of sale (POS), ERP, or dedicated inventory management software.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical thinking, excellent reporting capabilities, and effective communication skills.
- A background in hospitality is mandatory.
