Role Overview

The Financial Analyst role is vital in leveraging financial and operational data across the company. In our rapidly growing startup, you'll take charge of collecting, cleansing, and analyzing data to provide accurate, actionable insights. You'll be involved in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and constructing scalable reporting and KPI frameworks to enhance business transparency. This role also supports finance operations, including managing accounts payable and assisting in cross-functional operational tasks, ensuring effective financial controls and reduced execution burdens.

Main Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the company’s financial planning and analysis model, including monthly variance analysis between actuals and plans, to uncover key drivers and offer actionable insights.
• Evaluate essential business metrics like revenue growth, customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, and margins; collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to refine initiatives and maximize ROI.
• Interpret financial and operational data into clear recommendations for leadership, aiding strategic projects such as pricing strategies, cost reduction, and growth efforts.
• Manage data acquisition, cleaning, and structuring from diverse sources to uphold data accuracy and usability. Develop and sustain scalable reporting frameworks, dashboards, and KPI tracking.
• Standardize regular reports and enhance the speed and quality of insight generation, identifying opportunities for automation and workflow improvements.
• Perform revenue and unit economics analysis, including cohort analysis and retention tracking, to monitor key SaaS metrics and performance factors.
• Supervise accounts payable to ensure timely, accurate transaction processing and monitor company spending for anomaly detection and cost-saving potentials.
• Serve as a finance partner to various teams by providing data-driven support for both day-to-day and strategic decisions, improving information flow and transparency.

Candidate Profile

• A bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting is required.
• Prior experience in corporate finance or financial planning and analysis is preferred but not mandatory; recent graduates are highly encouraged.
• Proficient in financial analysis methods, modeling, and forecasting techniques.
• Advanced skills in Excel are mandatory; familiarity with Python, SQL, Power Query, and VBA is highly advantageous.
• Excellent analytical capabilities with a talent for interpreting complex datasets into meaningful business insights.
• Solid grasp of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to handle large datasets, perform quantitative analyses, and develop dashboards.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication skills, capable of clearly presenting financial information verbally and in writing.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, motivated by challenges and comfortable with change.

Compensation Details

This is a full-time remote position based in the United States offering a base salary between $70,000 and $75,000 annually. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, expertise, and certifications. The role also includes benefits and semi-annual bonuses.
