Role Overview
The Finance Test Analyst (Projects) position, based in Dublin, is a permanent role within a cross-company team responsible for implementing new code and functional updates to CLE’s administration system. This includes processes for new and existing business and integration with peripheral systems. The role primarily focuses on testing activities, enhancing and automating testing protocols with support from the Test Automation team, and ensuring smooth delivery of changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Redesign and automate components of the business acceptance testing process for finance-related projects.
- Collaborate with the Test Automation team to automate existing testing procedures and address the backlog of automation tasks.
- Execute testing for regular system functionality updates alongside team members.
- Evaluate testing outputs produced by the team and other groups, including end-to-end testing and Quality Assurance regression tests.
- Assist in reviewing new functionality specifications, resolving defects, and testing corrections for upcoming releases.
- Provide support to the Financial Operations Team to understand new functionalities and help investigate production issues.
- Coordinate with various internal teams to ensure successful delivery of finance-specific requirements and resolve related inquiries.
- Engage in ad-hoc and project work within the project domain as necessary.
Key Organizational Relationships
- Interact with cross-functional EBA teams.
- Collaborate with Functional Test and Quality Assurance teams.
- Liaise with business operational units such as Finance, Actuarial, Administration, and Risk.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Understanding of financial systems, metrics, and financial measurements is preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude enabling automation and process execution, including report generation using tools like Power BI and AI technologies.
- Exceptional analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-driven with a high degree of motivation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and teamwork aptitude essential for cross-functional collaboration.
- Adaptability, resilience, and flexibility to thrive in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
- Experience in system implementation and migration projects is desirable.
- Background in financial services, especially life assurance, is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in German is a plus but not required.
