Role Summary
The Finance Officer role is a full-time, on-location position based in Kabul, tasked with assisting in the company’s financial planning and managing everyday financial operations. Responsibilities include the preparation, review, and upkeep of financial statements, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting efforts. The officer will track expenses and revenues, perform account reconciliations, and help enforce internal controls and compliance with financial policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review detailed financial statements and related supporting documentation.
- Analyze financial data to identify patterns and support strategic business decisions.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes effectively.
- Generate financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Collaborate closely with operations, procurement, and management teams to provide financial insights.
- Assist with internal and external audits and help improve financial procedures and record-keeping.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, ideally within the ISP, IT, or service sectors.
- Strong analytical capabilities for evaluating financial information and supporting decisions.
- Sound knowledge of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
- Competency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams and present financial data clearly.
- High attention to detail, integrity in handling confidential information, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Kabul and operate inclusively within a culturally diverse team.
