Overview
Join a prominent organization in Saudi Arabia as a Field Compliance Coordinator, playing a vital role in overseeing construction safety and health, safety, and environment (HSE) coordination within a large-scale oil and gas project. This position demands vigilance in monitoring construction activities and ensuring adherence to safety standards, regulatory mandates, and organizational procedures.
Responsibilities
- Carry out frequent safety inspections and compliance audits at construction sites.
- Oversee contractor and subcontractor adherence to established HSE protocols.
- Confirm the correct application of Permit-to-Work systems.
- Supervise high-risk tasks such as confined-space entry, lifting operations, excavation, and working at elevated heights.
- Evaluate Lockout/Tagout processes and energy isolation activities.
- Analyze Safe Work Practices, Job Safety Analyses, and hazard control measures.
- Assist in Process Safety Management and Process Hazard Analysis initiatives.
- Engage in HAZOP, risk assessment, and Bowtie Analysis as required.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, facilitating root-cause analysis.
- Monitor safety observations, track non-conformances, and follow corrective actions through completion.
- Organize and present safety inductions, toolbox talks, and specialized training sessions.
- Support emergency readiness, drills, and response planning activities.
- Generate safety reports, inspection findings, and documentation of compliance efforts.
- Collaborate closely with project management, construction personnel, contractors, and stakeholders to uphold stringent HSE standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
- Possession of NEBOSH International General Certificate, IOSH qualification, or an equivalent globally recognized safety certification.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in safety or HSE roles.
- A minimum of 7 years dedicated to supporting significant oil and gas construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction safety and field compliance aspects.
- Expertise in Permit-to-Work systems, Lockout/Tagout, and confined-space safety procedures.
- Understanding of HAZOP, Bowtie Analysis, Process Safety Management, and Safety Management Systems.
- Proven track record in conducting incident probes and root cause investigations.
- Strong capability in hazard identification, risk evaluation, and control implementation.
- Experience supervising contractor activities on major or mega construction sites.
- Excellent reporting, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Availability and willingness to perform duties on-site in Saudi Arabia.
Working Conditions and Schedule
- Long-term contract role within the oil & gas sector.
- Working schedule comprises six days on followed by one day off.
- Daily working hours total eight hours.
