Overview

Rosewood Red Sea strives to craft memorable family journeys filled with discovery and meaningful moments. We are on the lookout for a passionate and visionary Explorer Manager to lead our Explorer Club. This role involves designing engaging, educational, and enriching children’s experiences while enhancing unforgettable family holidays.

Reporting to the Director of Wellness & Spa, the Explorer Manager will be accountable for all children’s programming, overseeing Explorer Club operations, babysitting services, and family-oriented activities. The position demands leadership of a team focused on delivering innovative, safe, and personalized activities aligned with Rosewood’s Relationship Hospitality philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Explorer Club, ensuring outstanding experiences for kids and their families.
  • Create and implement innovative recreational, educational, cultural, environmental, and wellness-based programs catering to various child age groups.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate the Explorer team to uphold Forbes Five-Star and Rosewood service standards.
  • Maintain top-tier standards regarding child safety, safeguarding measures, hygiene, and operational excellence.
  • Plan and develop seasonal programs, themed events, family gatherings, and experiences inspired by the unique Red Sea environment.
  • Supervise babysitting services, confirming they are carried out professionally, safely, and in line with hotel policies.
  • Foster strong, personalized relationships with families by delivering memorable and tailored services.
  • Oversee departmental scheduling, budgeting, payroll, inventory management, and operational performance metrics.
  • Collaborate effectively with Wellness & Spa, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering, Concierge departments to create cohesive family experiences.
  • Continuously seek improvements to enhance guest satisfaction and elevate Explorer Club offerings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields such as Early Childhood Education, Education, Recreation Management, Hospitality, Child Development, or Leisure Management.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing children-focused clubs or family recreation programs within luxury resorts, hotels, cruise lines, or similar family destination venues.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills managing diverse teams and developing children’s recreational activities.
  • Thorough understanding of child safeguarding, risk mitigation, health and safety regulations, and emergency response protocols.
  • Experience organizing family events, educational initiatives, and destination-themed children's programming.
  • Proven ability handling budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, and departmental operations oversight.
  • Certifications in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and Child Safeguarding are highly preferred.
  • Proficient in English (both spoken and written); additional language skills considered a plus.
  • Professional demeanor with authentic enthusiasm for luxury hospitality, family experiences, and child development.
