Executive Director, Operations

Position Overview

The Executive Director of Operations will spearhead the development and execution of the company's operational strategies, oversee daily operational activities, manage business processes, guide project deliveries, and ensure optimal resource use. This role is pivotal in establishing standardized and sustainable operational frameworks that enhance efficiency, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction, forming the operational backbone necessary to support the company's growth and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy comprehensive operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives, including creating annual operational plans.
• Develop policies, standardized procedures, and governance systems for operational management.
• Lead execution and monitoring of operational targets and continuously improve operational processes.
• Manage all day-to-day operations, ensuring business units meet operational goals efficiently.
• Optimize the allocation and utilization of resources to maximize productivity and operational performance.
• Conduct regular operational reviews and apply continuous improvement methodologies.
• Oversee all major projects, guaranteeing timely delivery within budget and maintaining quality standards.
• Coordinate interdepartmental efforts to assure successful project implementation.
• Implement management systems for project execution and delivery excellence.
• Champion process improvements through Lean Management, KPI development, operational analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Manage operational budgets, human resources, equipment, finances, and technology to improve ROI and control costs.
• Establish risk management protocols, compliance frameworks, and quality assurance programs.
• Promote business continuity and prepare emergency response plans.
• Collaborate with departments including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR to foster seamless communication and resource sharing.
• Lead and cultivate the operations team, emphasizing talent development, performance appraisals, training, and succession planning.
• Build a culture of high performance, continuous enhancement, and customer focus across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in Business Management, Operations Management, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• An MBA or equivalent Master’s degree is desirable.
• Over 10 years of experience in operations, project, or business management, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
• Track record of operational leadership in large companies, multinational organizations, or rapidly growing businesses.
• Expertise in corporate operational frameworks, process improvement, and performance management.
• International business experience is advantageous.
