Executive Director

Role Summary

We are looking for a visionary Executive Director to provide top-level leadership that steers organizational growth and ensures achievement of corporate goals. This role shapes the long-term vision, enhances operational performance, drives innovation, and guarantees sustainable success through effective governance and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement the strategic vision and long-range objectives of the organization.
• Lead all business functions to foster operational excellence and consistent growth.
• Manage corporate performance, financial oversight, and organizational efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors and senior leadership to set strategic priorities and governance policies.
• Oversee initiatives for organizational change, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
• Explore and secure new business ventures, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.
• Strengthen frameworks for corporate governance, compliance, risk management, and internal control.
• Ensure prudent resource allocation and maintain financial discipline to maximize operational effectiveness.
• Develop strong stakeholder relationships including customers, investors, government bodies, and partners.
• Guide cross-functional teams to execute enterprise-wide strategic projects and programs.
• Drive leadership development, succession planning, and enhance organizational capacity.
• Promote a culture emphasizing accountability, collaboration, diversity, innovation, and lifelong learning.
• Analyze business performance and apply strategies to improve profitability and resilience.
• Represent the organization at executive and board meetings, conferences, and key engagements.
• Lead business planning, budgeting, investment appraisals, and corporate growth activities.
• Support M&A, joint ventures, and strategic alliances as needed.
• Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards across operations.
• Prepare comprehensive executive reports and strategic advice for the Board and senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Law, or a related field.
• Advanced degree such as an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
• In-depth expertise in executive leadership, corporate governance, strategic and organizational management.
• Strong proficiency in business strategy, financial oversight, operational effectiveness, and transformational leadership.
• Thorough knowledge of corporate finance, enterprise risk, compliance, and performance evaluation.
• Excellent commercial insight with a focus on long-term value creation and growth prospect identification.
• Superior leadership, communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Analytical thinker with strategic planning and high-level executive decision-making skills.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional enterprise initiatives.
• Competent in business intelligence systems, enterprise resource planning software, financial reporting, and Microsoft Office tools.
