Equity Research Analyst - Industrials

About the Role

Join a prestigious global multi-manager hedge fund managing over $5 billion in assets, seeking to expand its Industrials research capabilities. This position offers direct collaboration with a seasoned Portfolio Manager (PM) possessing more than a decade in capital allocation across top multi-manager and multi-strategy platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fundamental equity research and generate investment ideas from day one.
• Maintain ongoing coverage focusing on subsectors including Industrials Multinationals, Machinery, Building Products, and Transportation.
• Collaborate closely with the PM to develop ideas, structure financial models, analyze earnings, and assess downside and risk factors.
• Initially, this role entails research without risk-taking, with long-term potential for expanded risk responsibilities.

Candidate Profile

• Possess at least two years of experience in buyside equity research, preferably at long/short equity funds or multi-manager/pod-based platforms.
• Demonstrate strong fundamental analytical skills, including detailed financial modeling and the ability to identify variant perceptions and catalysts driving research.
• Have experience thriving in fast-paced, performance-driven environments.
• Sector expertise within Industrials is highly desirable, though coverage specifics can be tailored upon joining.
• Exhibit intellectual curiosity, commercial insight, and the capacity to operate independently alongside a senior PM.
