About the Role

HiredBuddy is looking to hire a driven Entry-Level Data Analyst to join their expanding analytics team in a fully remote position. This role focuses on converting raw data into meaningful insights that aid strategic business decisions across departments such as product and operations. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cleanse extensive datasets from multiple sources, ensuring they are accurate, consistent, and complete using Excel and SQL for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to discover trends, patterns, and irregularities, employing fundamental statistical techniques to answer business queries.
• Develop insightful visualizations and construct dashboards with tools like Tableau or Power BI to monitor key performance metrics and regularly report findings in an accessible manner to stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with senior analysts, marketing, and product teams to interpret data needs, define metrics, and align reporting with business objectives.
• Handle urgent data requests from management, guaranteeing precise and prompt delivery of required analyses.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on emerging tools and best practices in analytics, contributing to team knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Between 0 to 2 years of experience in data analysis or related roles, including internships.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail for ensuring data accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel functions such as pivot tables, formulas, and charts.
• Basic proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical results to non-technical audiences effectively.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently within a remote work setting.
• Familiarity with visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI is advantageous but not mandatory.
