Position Summary
The Engineering Analyst will be part of the logistics facilities operations engineering team, contributing to projects aimed at improving equipment and processes in distribution centers. This role supports larger initiatives by applying industrial engineering principles, evaluating labor standards, designing facilities and processes, and aiding in material handling equipment management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and apply precise engineered labor standards, evaluating optimal methods across various distribution center roles, and collaborate with business partners to communicate and implement these standards.
- Design new processes conceptually, estimating labor requirements, productivity, layouts, and capacity needs.
- Collaborate with the logistics operations team to identify and suggest improvements that reduce costs and increase capacity.
- Utilize strong data analysis skills to interpret results and clearly communicate findings and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support design, procurement, and installation of material handling equipment under senior engineering supervision.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Between 1 and 3 years of relevant experience within distribution or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in conducting time studies and establishing productivity targets or engineering labor standards.
- Knowledge of work measurement techniques.
- Detail-oriented with solid analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Effective written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Advanced skills in spreadsheets, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with relational databases, including creating queries and reports.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience with databases and SQL.
- MOST certification or hands-on experience with labor management systems.
- AutoCAD proficiency.
- Experience in supporting conveyor or unit handling equipment.
- Project management skills.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $67,700 to $88,830 annually. Compensation will be determined based on individual experience, skills, and location.
