About the Role
Join APM in Sorell, Tasmania as an Employment Consultant within the Inclusive Employment Australia Program. This position allows you to positively impact lives by aiding individuals with disabilities or other barriers in gaining meaningful employment. It combines direct participant support with employer engagement, sales, relationship management, and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored coaching to participants to increase job readiness, including resume assistance, interview preparation, and job search techniques.
- Proactively cultivate relationships with local employers by conducting cold calls, visits, and face-to-face meetings to generate job opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a strong employer pipeline and identify hidden employment prospects for participants.
- Advocate for candidates to employers, demonstrating how their skills meet employer needs and negotiating job trials, wage subsidies, and work experience placements.
- Track participant progress, manage compliance, documentation, and data entry aligned with program standards.
- Meet and exceed KPIs related to placements, engagement activities, and outcomes.
- Celebrate participant achievements to encourage confidence and sustained engagement.

Additional Information
- Must be eligible to work in Australia.
- Hold a valid driver's license and have access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

- Availability to work full-time from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
