About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer certified as a First Category Engineer under Qatar's MMUP/UPDA, with current residency in Qatar. Applications lacking this certification will not be considered. Candidates should submit an updated CV alongside their MMUP/UPDA First Category registration details.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage collaboratively within team member integration efforts.
• Interpret and apply contractual documents and regulatory norms appropriately.
• Manage Equipment and Electrical materials by performing sizing studies, preparing technical specifications, requisitions, Material Take-Offs (MTO), and technical bid evaluations.
• Monitor purchase order progress to meet information and equipment delivery deadlines.
• Coordinate closely with related departments including Purchasing, Inspection, and Projects to align electrical requirements.
• Supervise and actively participate in team activities as directed by the Electrical Team Leader.
• Ensure effective use of management tools such as SmartPlant Materials (Marian), Document Management System (Documentum), VDDR, and IAP.
• Support proposal developments by collaborating on cost estimations, creating MTOs for equipment and material installations, and preparing deviation and clarification lists.
• Assist in design management alongside the Team Leader and team members by identifying and reporting challenges to resolve issues promptly.
• Facilitate information sharing to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current valid MMUP/UPDA First Category Engineer certification with residency in Qatar is mandatory.
• Between 12 to 15 years of relevant engineering experience, including extensive work within Qatar or the GCC.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering related to the discipline.
• Deep knowledge of engineering and project management with a preference for candidates with prior experience on major Qatar projects.
• Familiarity with Qatar’s engineering standards, regulations, and project requirements.
• Strong technical, communication, and coordination abilities.
