About WeChat

WeChat, with a massive user base exceeding 1.2 billion globally, revolutionizes mobile communication by connecting users, services, and businesses, predominantly outside Mainland China. The Singapore WeChat team manages and enhances the product's essential features, including messaging and social networking, aiming to understand and cater to the diverse behaviors and preferences of its worldwide user base.

Role Responsibilities

• Analyze both qualitative and quantitative data comprehensively to extract actionable insights, identify challenges, and propose data-driven strategies within the WeChat ecosystem.
• Aggregate extensive structured and unstructured datasets from various sources; perform thorough data cleansing, validation, and transformation ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and automated data pipelines to facilitate continuous business monitoring and informed decision-making.
• Detect data patterns, trends, and anomalies that reveal opportunities or potential risks affecting WeChat.
• Interpret complex data findings to create solutions or identify prospects, crafting narrative storyboards to effectively communicate insights to business teams for implementation.
• Manage and advance computer vision infrastructure, including developing, tuning, and sustaining CV model training and serving pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and associated tooling.
• Build and deploy computer vision applications such as image and video analysis, optical character recognition, content moderation, and multimodal analysis solutions supporting business objectives across WeChat.
• Incorporate large language model (LLM) methodologies and other machine learning or deep learning techniques to strengthen analytic processes and intelligence-driven product features.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or closely related quantitative disciplines.
• Practical experience working on LLM applications, including fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or using agent frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen preferred.
• Familiarity with computer vision models, including object detection, image classification, and multimodal models, is advantageous.
• Proficient in Python programming; knowledge of C/C++ is considered beneficial.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow, alongside deployment tools like Docker, FastAPI, and TensorRT, is desirable.
• Exposure to vector databases (e.g., Milvus, FAISS, Pinecone) or data pipeline technologies is a bonus.
• Strong capability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, innovative, cooperative team player with excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to navigate business and technical domains.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin to work collaboratively with international partners and headquarters.
