About the Role

We are looking for a proficient Data Scientist to join our expanding AI and Analytics team on a 12-month contract basis located in Singapore. This role demands strong capabilities in machine learning, deep learning, Generative AI, statistical modeling, and cloud-based MLOps to develop AI solutions that address complex business challenges. Collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams is essential to deliver impactful AI-driven data products.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, validate, and deploy advanced machine learning and deep learning models for practical business applications.
Create and sustain AI/ML workflows covering data collection, feature extraction, model deployment, and monitoring processes.
Build applications utilizing Generative AI technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs), embeddings, vector databases, and agent frameworks.
Implement solutions leveraging AI tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, among others.
Utilize statistical modeling, optimization strategies, and multi-criteria decision-making to overcome business issues.
Work on cutting-edge architectures like transformers and reinforcement learning where applicable.
Partner with data engineers to optimize ELT processes, data structuring, and scalable architectures.
Manage cloud-based ML deployments, preferably with AWS, ensuring adherence to MLOps best practices.
Conduct exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, feature engineering, and evaluate models.
Generate clear dashboards, visual aids, and reports to effectively communicate insights to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Maintain model governance and continuous performance improvement of deployed AI systems.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data science team members while promoting best practices.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field.
At least 3 years of practical data science experience with a reputable organization.
Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities using frameworks such as MECE, Root Cause Analysis, and hypothesis-driven methods.
Demonstrated experience in full lifecycle ML model development, deployment, and ongoing monitoring following MLOps protocols.
Strong experience with cloud-based machine learning deployment, ideally on AWS.
In-depth knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, optimization, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics techniques.
Hands-on expertise in transformer models, reinforcement learning, and advanced deep learning frameworks.
Expertise in AI engineering including LLMs, neural embeddings, RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, vector databases, and Enterprise Document/Data solutions.
Familiarity with data engineering concepts such as ELT pipelines, structured data manipulation, and database technologies.
Programming proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and Shell scripting.
Experience using Python data science libraries including Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
Strong communication, presentation, and data visualization competencies.
Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CI/CD processes tailored for ML applications.
Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of ML monitoring, model governance, and managing production model lifecycles.
Experience with distributed computing platforms such as Apache Spark.
Background working in Agile or Scrum workflows.
Relevant certifications relating to AWS, Machine Learning, or Data Science are advantageous.
