Overview
Join Regalo Health – Transition Pharmacy in Montgomeryville, PA as a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician. This full-time role features a consistent schedule from Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST, fostering work-life balance with no nights, weekends, or retail holiday duties.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt and professional assistance to patients.
- Accurately enter prescription data and process refill authorizations in compliance with state regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines.
- Input prescription and patient information into pharmacy systems accurately.
- Assist in prescription fulfillment by completing all workflow stages.
- Resolve patient inquiries including insurance coverage issues.
- Keep the pharmacy environment clean, organized, and compliant with regulations.
- Analyze and resolve third-party claim rejections by understanding insurance parameters.
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls related to insurance, prescriptions, and refills.
- Report adverse events or product issues following pharmaceutical manufacturer policies.
- Execute additional responsibilities as delegated by pharmacists.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Hold a valid Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license.
- Eligible for participation in federal and state healthcare programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.
- Skilled in using pharmacy systems and general computer applications.
- Exhibit strong organizational, communication, and prioritization abilities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in data entry and word processing.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, prescribers, and pharmacy staff.
- Adept at analyzing information and troubleshooting insurance claims.
- Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understand third-party pharmacy benefit plans thoroughly.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks such as standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and reaching.
