Role overview
Fetch is focused on helping people get rewarded in everyday life and aims to be the go-to rewards destination for everyone. The platform turns routine actions such as grocery trips, quick meals, and mobile gaming into rewards, and has already distributed more than $1 billion in Fetch Points. Each day, over 13 million receipts are uploaded, giving insight into more than $212 billion in gross merchandise value. That scale powers a retail-agnostic, SKU-level view of household spending and supports Fetch’s outcomes-based advertising platform for helping brands win and keep loyal customers.
The Fetch app is available on iOS and Android and is backed by a large, highly engaged audience with more than 6 million five-star reviews. The company is supported by investors such as Softbank, ICONIQ, DST, and Greycroft, and works with partners ranging from challenger brands to Fortune 500 companies. Fetch values curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new tools, especially AI, to work smarter and faster. It seeks people who learn quickly, think critically, move with urgency, and help shape what comes next in a people-first culture built on trust, accountability, innovation, and fun.
About the role
As a Data Analyst on the User Analytics & Insights team, you will help teams make better decisions through data. The role may focus on either Marketing or Apps, and you will collaborate with Product, Marketing, Growth, Engineering, Data, and Business partners to understand user behavior, measure results, support experiments, and produce reporting that keeps teams aligned on key goals.
This position suits someone who is highly analytical, comfortable with large datasets, and able to turn business questions into clear analysis, dashboards, and recommendations. You will build and maintain self-service reporting, create user segments, support experiment setup and analysis, and help stakeholders understand what is happening, why it is happening, and what should happen next.
This is a full-time position that can be based in one of Fetch’s US offices or performed remotely within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Work with Product, Marketing, Growth, Engineering, and business stakeholders to answer questions about user behavior, performance, engagement, conversion, and retention.
- Turn business questions into clear analysis plans using SQL, visualization tools, and statistical reasoning.
- Run both recurring and ad hoc analysis to spot trends, explain changes in metrics, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Present insights, business impact, and suggested next steps to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support decision-making by linking analysis to user experience, business results, and team priorities.
- Record assumptions, metric definitions, methods, and findings so the work can be reused and understood easily.
- Develop, maintain, and improve dashboards that track core business, product, marketing, app, and user behavior metrics.
- Build scalable self-service reporting that reduces repeated one-off requests and lets partners monitor performance on their own.
- Keep dashboards accurate, well documented, and easy for cross-functional teams to use.
- Track core KPIs and investigate shifts in trends, performance, or data quality.
- Coordinate with Analytics Engineering and Data Engineering to strengthen data definitions, reporting logic, and source-of-truth datasets.
- Assist with experiment planning, including hypothesis formation, metric choice, audience definition, and readiness checks.
- Perform MDE calculations, power analysis, and sample size estimates to determine whether an experiment is feasible.
- Evaluate A/B test outcomes, including overall impact, segment-level results, statistical significance, and follow-up questions.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Data Science to ensure experiments are measured consistently and interpreted correctly.
- Communicate experiment findings clearly so teams can decide whether to launch, revise, or discontinue an initiative.
- Create and maintain user segments for analysis, experimentation, lifecycle programs, product experiences, and business reporting.
- Analyze cohorts using behavioral, lifecycle, engagement, acquisition, or product usage signals.
- Help partners understand how different user groups behave and where there are opportunities to improve engagement, conversion, retention, or monetization.
- Support audience sizing, segment performance monitoring, and readouts for important initiatives.
- For marketing work, assist with campaign and lifecycle audience creation.
- For app-focused work, support segmentation tied to app usage, feature adoption, engagement, and product funnels.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in analytics, data analysis, product analytics, marketing analytics, business analytics, or a related discipline.
- Strong SQL skills for querying, manipulation, validation, and reporting.
- Experience creating dashboards and data visualizations in tools such as Hex, Tableau, Looker, Grafana, Mode, or similar platforms.
- Practical understanding of A/B testing, including hypothesis design, metric selection, sample sizing, segmentation, and interpretation of results.
- Experience building user segments, cohorts, or audience groups for analysis, experimentation, reporting, or targeting.
- Ability to analyze funnels, retention, engagement, conversion, campaign performance, app behavior, or other business and user metrics.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot data quality issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to handle routine analytical requests independently while raising ambiguity, blockers, or trade-offs with the right context.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with changing priorities and imperfect data.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with dbt or analytics engineering workflows.
- Experience using Git or GitHub for version control, collaboration, or code review.
- Python experience for analysis, automation, visualization, or statistical work.
- Exposure to martech, lifecycle marketing, campaign platforms, CDPs, attribution, or audience activation tools.
- Familiarity with app analytics, event tracking, product instrumentation, feature adoption analysis, or app engagement metrics.
- Experience working closely with Product, Marketing, Growth, or Engineering teams.
- Comfort using Google Sheets for collaboration and lightweight analysis.
