Job Overview
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative based remotely in the United States to serve as an intermediary among Labcorp, its customers, and patients. This role requires managing inbound and outbound communications and ensuring excellent service delivery aligned with protocol and compliance standards.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM EST.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the liaison between Labcorp and its customers and patients to address inquiries and concerns.
- Handle routine requests related to Labcorp’s products or services through phone calls or online interactions.
- Communicate courteously and professionally with customers utilizing standardized protocols.
- Clarify customer needs and confirm understanding of provided solutions.
- Offer supplementary education and information to customers as necessary.
- Screen and register new inbound customers seeking Labcorp’s products or services.
- Utilize multiple databases to investigate complex questions and issues.
- Promptly and accurately notify clients of their test results.
- Examine test forms for accuracy and identify discrepancies for correction.
- Engage in initiatives intended to enhance customer satisfaction and improve business outcomes.
- Provide administrative support including medical record management, CRM data upkeep, and maintaining internal records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least three months of customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree.
- Three or more months of experience in a contact center or call center setting.
- Experience of three or more months within the healthcare sector, such as in a physician’s office or hospital environment.
Additional Job Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using Salesforce.com and/or Laboratory Information Systems.
- High professionalism combined with a strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to operate independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail along with the capability to prioritize and multitask.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment and meet turnaround targets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to meet role demands.
- Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts as business needs dictate.
- Remote position based within the United States.
Work From Home Requirements
- A private, HIPAA-compliant workspace is necessary.
- Agreement to provide a home address for case reporting as per CMS regulations.
- Reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps.
- Competency to function effectively in a remote, multi-site, fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay ranging from $18.00 to $21.00, depending on skills and prior relevant experience.
- Eligibility for comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, 401(k), paid time off or flexible time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plans) for employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week.
- Those working less than 20 hours, casual, intern, or temporary employees qualify for 401(k) participation only.
- Specific shift schedules impact eligibility for paid time off.
