Customer Care/Receptionist

About the Role

Somtrade Limited, based at Mombasa Port, is looking for a warm and efficient Customer Care/Receptionist to join their Container Freight Station operations team in Mombasa. The successful candidate will play a vital role in handling front desk activities and ensuring smooth communication with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage front desk operations efficiently, welcoming visitors and addressing their inquiries promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer needs with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Handle calls and correspondence related to logistics and freight operations.
• Coordinate and support logistics activities within the Container Freight Station environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Completion of high school education is essential; additional certifications in customer service will be an advantage.
• Between one to two years of experience in customer service, with preference given to those familiar with logistics or Container Freight Station functions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic work setting.
• Basic knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is required.
• Understanding of logistics operations, including import and export procedures, is beneficial.
• A customer-centric mindset focused on providing outstanding service consistently.
