Role Overview
Become an essential member of the Marks & Spencer team in Chelmsford as a Customer Assistant in Operations. This position supports the smooth functioning of the store by handling stock, deliveries, and various behind-the-scenes tasks to maintain a well-stocked, clean, and customer-ready shop floor. It is a physically demanding role that requires pace, accuracy, and efficiency to ensure continuous product availability.
Work Schedule
Your weekly working hours are:
- Sunday: 11:00 to 15:00
- Tuesday: 18:00 to 22:00
- Wednesday: 18:00 to 22:00
- Friday: 18:00 to 22:00
- Saturday: 18:00 to 22:00
Key Responsibilities
- Manage stock and deliveries attentively to keep the sales floor fully stocked and clean.
- Operate specialist cutting equipment safely and responsibly, maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.
- Adapt flexibly across different store areas, contributing to diverse operational needs and fast-paced retail demands.
- Use digital tools proficiently for tracking deliveries and managing stock, focusing on speed and product availability.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments, supporting teamwork and shared goals.
