Custodian

Job Overview

The Custodian position entails ensuring cleanliness and sanitation within and around company premises following established standards.

Key Duties

• Utilize hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners to maintain terminal cleanliness according to company expectations.
• Daily removal of trash from offices, restrooms, and break rooms, ensuring bins are emptied and cleaned.
• Keep restrooms stocked with necessary supplies at all times.
• Relocate, move, or adjust office furniture as required.
• Monitor and ensure pest control systems function optimally to maintain high sanitation and housekeeping standards.
• Clear ice and snow from pedestrian paths and parking areas.
• Maintain company grounds free from litter and debris.
• Complete company-mandated reports regarding labor and equipment usage.
• Keep detailed logs of equipment repairs sorted by type.
• Prepare full and accurate records and reports as requested.
• Report any safety hazards promptly to the shift supervisor.
• Adhere strictly to OSHA and MSDS regulations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Candidate Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills.
• Prior experience in a similar custodial or sanitation role is required.
