Content Creator / Author (m/f/d) for Educational Media

About the Role

megaherzcampus, the educational media subsidiary of megaherz, is seeking a creative and independent Content Creator / Author (m/w/d) to develop contemporary instructional videos and educational materials aimed at German school students. This position is initially contracted for 12 months with a strong possibility and desire for extension. Both full-time and part-time arrangements are possible.

megaherzcampus produces innovative educational formats consisting of thematically linked short video packages accompanied by supporting materials. The role involves working within the same company environment as the "Checker" editorial team, known for programs like "Checker Tobi" and "Checkerin Marina," offering ample opportunities for creative exchange and inspiration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceive and develop original ideas for educational video formats.
• Plan productions independently, handling all stages including concept creation, scriptwriting, filming, editing, and post-production.
• Create supplementary teaching resources such as worksheets, background information, and interactive media.
• Collaborate closely with editorial, graphic design, animation, and production teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience in video production, media design, and storytelling.
• Preferably possess experience with educational formats or children's and youth programming.
• Ability to communicate complex topics in an engaging yet factually accurate manner.
• Creative mindset, curiosity for new subjects, and a strong sense of youth-targeted content.
• Organized, independent working style with comprehensive knowledge of production processes.

Additional Information

The contract term is initially set for 12 months, with extension desired. The position can be either full-time or part-time, based on applicant preference.
