Job Overview

We are seeking a Consumer Buyer to lead the commercial strategy development for our key Front of Shop categories at Uniphar Group in Dublin, Ireland. This role involves collaborating with sales, retail, operations, and suppliers to optimize product ranges, promotional activities, and category performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement commercial strategies for core Front of Shop categories.

  • Work in conjunction with Operations to foster relationships with symbol and franchise partners to help grow their business.
  • Contribute actively to the daily functioning of the Commercial buying team.
  • Ensure achievement of group sales, margin, and JBP financial goals.
  • Manage stock levels of Healthcare categories within owned estates, addressing dead, overstocked, or expired inventory and aiding stores in improving sales through effective stock management.
  • Regularly update the Commercial Director on departmental progress and developments.
  • Participate actively in weekly commercial team discussions and meetings.
  • Prioritize and schedule timely meetings with suppliers based on importance.
  • Ensure all retail pricing aligns with department margin objectives and market pricing database entries.
  • Coordinate with database teams to maintain updated supplier and pricing data for categories.
