Role Overview

We seek an experienced Construction Manager based in the Albany, NY region to lead projects from preconstruction through to completion. This proactive role involves managing schedules, budgets, quality assurance, project controls, and field coordination while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Working closely with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, you will ensure projects meet safety and contractual standards efficiently. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously across all delivery phases.
• Collaborate with owners, design teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to fulfill project requirements.
• Track project timelines, budgets, and overall performance, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to contract documents.
• Lead project meetings, documenting minutes and maintaining accurate project records.
• Review contractor submissions, requests for information, change orders, pay applications, and schedules.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, contract specifications, drawings, and company policies.
• Address project challenges promptly to minimize impact on cost and schedule.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and update clients and leadership on project status.
• Build and maintain effective, accountable relationships among all project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or closely related field preferred; equivalent education and experience combinations will be considered.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction management, owner representation, commercial construction, or related area.
• Solid knowledge of construction methods, project controls, and construction administration.
• Experience evaluating schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best construction safety practices.
• Capability to manage multiple contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating well within team environments.
• Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).
• Experience with public sector or institutional projects is an asset.
