Role Overview
We are looking for an analytically driven and detail-focused Compensation Lead to fully manage our compensation platforms such as Radford and Pave, ensuring alignment with Affirm’s compensation policies and that our programs remain effective and market competitive. This position involves hands-on involvement in daily compensation operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration of semiannual compensation cycles from start to finish.
- Lead various aspects of the annual compensation benchmarking studies including role audits, job responsibility evaluations, coordinating survey submissions, and recommending adjustments to salary and equity bands.
- Conduct specialized compensation analyses on incentive plans, equity programs, and pay equity on an ad hoc basis.
- Manage pay reporting for all regions Affirm operates in.
- Support compensation-related training and communication efforts.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years’ experience in compensation roles or people analytics.
- Familiarity with compensation management systems, ideally Pave.
- Strong analytical skills with comfort manipulating data using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Sigma Computing, or Claude Code.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accountability, able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Collaborative approach with excellent communication skills to coordinate across teams and meet project deadlines.
- Exhibits good judgment and integrity, especially in handling confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and factors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly explain complex topics to various audiences including senior leaders.
- Highly organized with capability to manage multiple priorities in fast-moving settings.
- Customer service oriented.
- Knowledgeable in compliance with regulatory requirements related to compensation plans.
Compensation Details
Affirm uses a transparent pay structure considering location, experience, and skills. The base salary range for this role is CAD $112,000 to $172,000 annually. Total compensation may also include equity awards and stipends for health, wellness, and technology expenses, alongside comprehensive benefits.
