Meet Your Circle1 (MYC) is a social networking platform designed to facilitate local event discovery, group participation, and hosting of activities tailored to users' interests. It enables effortless access to diverse events ranging from casual meetups to structured assemblies. Users can create events, attract relevant participants, and receive secure and prompt payments. The platform supports various interest groups including books, fitness, sports, writing, professional networking, and travel, and is available on both Play Store and App Store.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Community Manager based in Kochi who will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining a dynamic local community around MYC. This full-time onsite role includes engaging with users and event organizers, facilitating supportive environments for event hosts, and fostering an overall positive community experience. Key daily activities involve onboarding new users and partners, moderating interactions, addressing queries, and gathering user feedback to enhance the platform.

Additional responsibilities include organizing and assisting with local events, distributing community-related communications, collaborating closely with product and marketing teams to increase user participation, monitoring community performance metrics, identifying emerging trends and opportunities, as well as representing MYC at local meetups and partner events.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in community building and engagement, with hands-on experience managing groups or online/offline communities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including clear writing, active listening, and in-person confidence.
• Experience in planning, promoting, and executing local events or meetups.
• Basic knowledge of social media and digital tools to support outreach and engagement campaigns.
• Capability to collect, analyze, and present community feedback and activity data for continuous improvement.
• Highly self-motivated, well-organized, able to juggle multiple projects on-site in Kochi.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment; experience with consumer apps or social platforms is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, social sciences, or an equivalent field, or relevant practical experience.
