Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate midwife who is dedicated to education, training, and inspiring the next generation of midwives. This role is an integral part of our Maternity Education Team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Practice Facilitator, you will be instrumental in shaping student midwives' clinical experiences and ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and clinical placements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and enhance the learning experience of undergraduate midwifery students across placements from four partner Higher Education Institutions.
- Maintain and continuously improve clinical placement standards, ensuring compliance with Trust and Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) requirements.
- Lead planning and coordination of placement opportunities in partnership with Higher Education Institutions, promoting supportive and effective learning environments.
- Train and support Practice Assessors while promoting excellent midwifery practice and fostering a culture of continual professional development at all staff levels.
- Contribute to Trust-wide education and training programs including development initiatives and mandatory training.
