Position Overview

Serving as a Cashier at Walmart Canada offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your retail skills. The role revolves around delivering outstanding customer interaction during checkout, fostering customer loyalty, and taking responsibility for loss prevention by meticulously safeguarding company assets.

Key Duties

• Welcome every customer with a courteous and friendly approach.
• Efficiently manage purchase transactions including merchandise deactivation aligned with the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) program.
• Encourage customers to engage with company-supported initiatives such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charity campaigns.
• Provide assistance to customers with bagging and loading their purchases.
• Adhere to safe work guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and maintaining a clean working environment.
• Safeguard the integrity of the cash register through careful cash handling, enforcement of company policies, and situational awareness.
• Direct customers to a Customer Service Manager for specific service or transaction needs as appropriate.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage is set at 18 Canadian dollars.

Qualifications

The minimum age requirement for candidates is 16 years or older.
