Job Description

This full-time position located on-site in Nelson involves performing carpentry duties including framing, structural assembly, and finish carpentry for both residential and commercial building projects. Daily responsibilities encompass measuring and cutting materials, installing components, utilizing hand and power tools, interpreting construction blueprints accurately, and adhering to building regulations and company policies. The role requires cooperation with other tradespeople, maintaining an organized and safe workspace, assisting with renovations, repairs, and thorough cleanup upon project completion.

Qualifications

• Skilled in both rough and finish carpentry techniques.
• Competent in using common hand tools essential for construction tasks.
• Experienced with power tools regularly employed in carpentry work.
• Proficient in framing walls, flooring, and roofing structures.
• Capable of executing finish carpentry tasks including installing trims, doors, and cabinetry.
• Understanding of construction safety protocols and a commitment to follow them rigorously.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and precise measurements.
• Possession of reliable transportation to job sites in Nelson, available for standard working hours.
• Prior experience in residential or commercial carpentry roles is preferred.
